After the swap meet started
I wandered around looking at things and found a pair of retracts in a
box. When I went over to ask how much they were, Jim took them from me, looked at them, stuck them in my pocket and said I didn't owe him anything.
There were some nice planes there but nothing I couldn't live without plus there wasn't much room in the motor home for more planes. I
finished up getting ready to leave but we had to wait for a couple of rigs that
had us parked in. After hooking up the
Smart Car we headed down 95 to Yuma. It
was a nice drive with some rugged hills to look at. Then as we dropped into the Yuma area it got
really green with truck farms everywhere.
We fueled up and ate in Yuma then headed East on 8 to Benson.
Just as we got to Casa Grande a trucker waved
at us so we stopped and discovered the gas cap was still in Yuma. I also found a seal leaking on the left rear dual. We made a detour into Casa Grande and got one
at Pep Boys. Then we got onto I10 and
headed toward Benson again. We finally
got to Benson about 7:30 and filled up at a Love's before going to the
Butterfield RV Resort and settling in for the night.
