Arizona Electric Flight Festival Day Two

I did sleep good last night, in fact we went to bed right after I finished yesterday's entry because I kept falling asleep.  Today we were up early since registration opened at eight.  It turned out I was the first person to preregister online so my number was 001.
My first flight today was with the B-36 and it went great.

I am taxiing down to the end of the runway for the take off.

The B-36 is making a low pass.
I am taxiing in after the flight, one of the other flyers volunteered to spot for me so Vera could take pictures.

The pits started filling up fast.

With the wing on the Cessna looks even bigger.  The guy sitting behind the left wing is the owner.  He is big also, he must be about six foot six tall.  There are lots of very nice people here.  I also flew the P-39 and the Skylane several times.  I flew the B-36 a total of three times and after the last flight we were surprised to see Dan and Vicky cheering us on.  They were on the way to see an old friend of Vicky's and came here to watch for a couple of days.  We had a nice visit with them.  There was lots of other activity, at one time there were eight T-33's in the air at the same time.

As dinner was cooking we took a walk and got some pictures of Superstition Mountain.

As we walked back I took this picture of the parking area there were still a lot of people there at five.
This evening Vera and I had a good time sitting in the motor home watching the night flyers.
