Quartzsite Airshow

They were out setting up for the Airshow early this morning.

I put the B-36 and the Stearman on display in front of the public area with a bunch of other peoples planes.
They had a good turnout of spectators from Quartzsite, the parking lot was completely full.
When the airshow started I was in the first group of four to fly and I flew the Sukhoi SU-29.  Off and on during the day I flew it and the P-39, I have just landed it in this picture.  You can see people watching from the road next to the field.

I have always liked the F-82 Twin Mustang, there was one at the Electric Flight Festival also, but it crashed when the pilot tripped over a curb and fell down.  This one flew great and it was pretty fast.
The club provided lunch for everyone who participated.  After the airshow ended at three I got the Skylane out and flew it for the rest of the day.  I made a new friend today, Jessie who is just getting back into RC, I had him spot for me during the airshow, then after things were over I trimmed his plane and gave him some pointers while he flew.  By the time we quit he made a flight with the stabilization in the intermediate mode instead of beginner mode.  It was a good day but it felt good to relax after everything was put away.
This is the sunset over the Frisbee golf course behind us.
