Arizona Electric Flight Festival Day Four

This is the motor home as the sun was rising this morning.
We got up early and I had my planes set up before sunrise.  They thought a TV crew might show up this morning to do a segment for their morning show.  I flew the Skylane while I was waiting and when I got done there was Dan watching.  He spotted for me for flights on the P-39 and the B-36.  As I was coming in for a landing with the B-36 someone said the right main gear was not down.  The left one touched the ground as I added power and climbed out.  I tried putting some G force on it while cycling the gear switch but nothing happened.  I was cruising around flipping the switch when it suddenly came down.  I came right down and landed, that was enough excitement for one flight.  Since I didn't have a spare retract with me that was the end of flying the B-36 for this trip.  The TV crew never showed up, there must have been a bigger story somewhere else, we were warned about that possibility.  We had a nice time visiting with Dan and Vicky until the wind came up and I decided to pack up and head home.
Before we left I saw the half sized Cub leave with it's new owners.  It is kind of hard to believe it all fit into that trailer.  The wind was blowing pretty hard so it was not a relaxing drive back to Barry's, we took the 202 Bypass going home and it was much better than the route we came in on which must have had a hundred stop lights.  Today was probably our best session of hooking up and unhooking the Smart Car we have had so far.
After parking and setting up the motor home I saw some quail in the yard and got this picture of one.

There was a beautiful sunset this evening to enjoy.
