One of the first things I noticed today was this guy unloading a half sized Piper Cub out of a custom trailer.
It dwarfed everything else there, it was for sale along with it's trailer and it sold before the end of the day. There were a bunch of airliners like the one in the foreground, at one time six of them flew together.
It turned out there were 92 pilots registered and there must have been well over two hundred planes because everyone seemed to have more than one.
I flew the B-36 first and then flew the P-39
during the noon Warbird Gaggle.
Dan and Vickie came out to watch again today
and we had a good time visiting with them between flights. It was sure nice having familiar faces around.
I flew the B-36 several times during the afternoon and I was really
surprised when I got the contest director's award for the B-36. About five there was a pizza feed provided for the
vendors, flyers and crew.
Dan and Vickie
came back to watch the night flying and after they left Vera and I sat in the
motor home, watched TV and the night flying outside. I am heading to bed early because they want
us flying early for a TV crew.
