Heading back to Quartzsite

We were all hooked up and left Barry and Mona's at 8:30 this morning. Just as we were pulling out of the gate we saw our first Roadrunner.
It was sitting in the sun with its feathers ruffled up to get warm.  We took a couple of pictures from the motor home then pulled out.
When I came back to close the gate it was still there and I got a pretty good picture of it on the fence with my phone.
While I was locking the gate Vera took this picture of a Killdeer.
She said this Jackrabbit was really fast but she got one good picture of it.  We filled up at Love's by Elroy and then took Highway 8 to Gila Bend, then 85 to I10 and I10 to Quartzsite.  It was a pretty relaxing drive and we got to Quartzsite about 1:30.
I got everything set up and made one flight with the SU-29.  We watched the night flying before settling in for the evening watching TV and catching up with the blog entries
