2-3-2020 Monday
We woke up to a
pretty breezy day and it only got up to 60, so we hung around the motor home most of the day. I played solitaire and Vera read. Barry and Mona were not feeling well so we
didn't bother them. We went to Culver's
for dinner, I had their Fish and Chips, it was great and also a large serving so I ended
up bringing two pieces home.

We took a ride to
Coolidge this morning to check out the place where we were getting propane to
make sure the motor home could get in OK.
I made a wrong turn right off the bat and we ended up coming into town
from the other end. The first thing I
did was fill up with gas, the Smart Car was getting a little low. Then we checked and it looks like we wouldn't
have trouble getting to the propane pump. I had
noticed a sign pointing to Chandler so we decided to go look that route
over. About half way there we came upon
a police road block for some kind of emergency and had to take a detour. Of course it wasn't marked where the next turn was but
I guessed right and we ended up in Staton and got to Chandler from there with a
little help from the GPS. After driving
down the main drag we turned around and went back to Coolidge on AZ 87. The road blocks were gone so we made it with
no problem. After picking up some
supplies at Safeway we headed home but I must have made a wrong turn again
because we ended up at Eleven Mile Corner.
I knew where we were then and only had to back track seven miles to get
home, we had gone about ninety miles during this little trip to Coolidge.
You can stand in one spot in Mona's yard and as you turn around there will be a different desert scene.
I wouldn't want to tangle with these Hedgehog cactus, the spines can be three inches long.
I played around taking pictures of the birds and taking some time lapse videos of them. This dove stayed in one spot watching me while I took several pictures of it.

Today there were lots of doves in the trees.
I noticed one of the pads on this Prickly Pear was heart shaped.
I had to work a little to finally get a good picture of this House Sparrow it kept perching in the bushes where the camera wouldn't focus on it.
