When we got to the field at 9:45, the fog was almost gone. By the time I was set up and ready for the first flight it was clear blue skies everywhere. I got the helicopter out and made the first flight with it.
It wasn't long until other members started showing up, Vera is helping our friend Leonard assemble his Desert Duster. The club had some leftover food from the last picnic in a freezer, so they decided to barbecue today and use it up. Vera and I got the barbecue going and she did the cooking while I thawed out the buns in the motor home microwave.
We really enjoyed having a childhood friend and neighbor Kay and her husband Rich stop by to watch the flying and visit for a while.
We stayed until the sun went down and I took a bunch of pictures of it. They all looked so good it was hard to choose one. The sunset was sure a nice ending to the day!
