A Happy and Sad Day

Today we moved Marie into her permanent room. It was a long day but worth it. We started out picking up a dresser, table and chairs at the Hospice Thrift Shop that we had bought on Saturday. Mik came and helped us load it, in fact he told me to stay back and not foul up my knee (probably good advice). Things went great and we were on the way home to load the rest in under a half hour. We took the slow way up so the tarp would not flap on the furniture.

We got there just before Barry showed up to help me. I saw him drive by and went out and flagged him down. As we started unloading he told me that Mark had been in a motorcycle accident last night and was in critical condition. I sure appreciate him coming to help when he probably would have rather been at the hospital. We are saying prayers for Mark and Vera put a prayer request on the Church Prayer Chain.

Setting up Marie's room went pretty good, her neighbors were there to help also so things were packed in and set up in short order. We were able to move her stuff from the other room to the new one and get most of it put away. We even had time to sit and visit for a while before heading home.

Looking West in Marie's room, she wanted some unpacking left so she could feel like she was helping.
