We walked this morning, Jo Ann, Pastor Vonda, Vera and I today. I got a couple of flights on the helicopter and went over to visit at Dianne's. The girls were blowing bubbles, so I got a wand and joined them, I have not done that for a while! James had a game tonight at Kelso in the stadium at Tam O'Shanter park. This picture is James coming into third after Joey got a hit during the first inning. They ended up scoring 3 runs in the top of the first, then Kelso scored 2 in the bottom.
James pitched the first two innings and did pretty good, holding them to two runs in the first inning and none in the second.
Because there was only one coach, players got to coach at first. This is James and his friend Joey having a laugh while James was coaching. James had a monster double in the middle of the game that scored two. When they finished the top of the 7th inning, James' tean was up 11 to 7. The top of Kelso's order was coming up to bat pretty soon and it was 11 to 10 with no outs. They had a man on second and tried a bunt that popped up and James had charged the plate, so he was right there to catch it. He turned and fired it to second for a double play. The next batter hit a grounder between the second baseman and James, the second baseman made a nice play on it and underhanded it to James for the third out to end the game. Boy were we excited!
