A nice finish to the day!

Yes, warm rhubarb pie is a nice way to finish the day.

Monday, I exercised Sam while Laury was working, she called this evening to thank me, and asked if we would be up later as she had a pie in the oven.  You know my answer, of course we will be up.  It was a delicious bed time snack!  When I exercised Sam Monday, a swallow buzzed him as he was bringing the ball back to me.  That was the end of interest in the ball, he went twice around the house chasing that swallow.  I finally tried telling him to drop the ball, he did, right at my feet, then back after the bird!  Another trip around the house, then the bird headed for Gabe's with Sam in hot pursuit!  I was about to go after him, when he came back puffing like mad.  I got him in the house and he headed right for the water bowl, that was the end of play time.

Vera and I walked today, just the two of us, everyone else had things going on.  I put a couple of flights on the new helicopter.  I went over to watch the twins play in the sprinkler, I went to go through it with Harper, slipped on the wet grass and went down.  That sure cooled me off, my pants were wet for a long time.  I ran a temporary ethernet cable to Vera's computer today, using the wireless, every time she left it, she would have to restart it to get on the internet.  So far, that seems to have done the trick, when I am feeling really ambitious, I will have to make it permanent.  I got almost done with repairs to the Sukhoi today, I just have to paint the cowl where I repaired some cracks.  After the pie, a couple of episodes of Duck Dynasty finished out my day.
