Pitts Test flights

Vera had to report for jury duty today, the weather forecast was great so I decided to go flying and try out the Pitts Special.
It looks pretty good except for the spot where the decals are missing on the sides.  I put them some where for safe keeping and now I can not find them.  I set up my Soloshot and then did the first flight.  It was pulling to the left really bad so I had to do lots of trimming but by the second flight I had it flying pretty well.  Only one other person showed up and he had picked up the wrong wing for one of his airplanes so he was kind of upset.  He left after two flights and I had the field all to myself the rest of the day.  I had lost the prop off my glider last week, I stood where I was flying from and visualized where the plane was when it flew off.  I walked out into the hay field and found it right away.  I had wandered all over the day I lost it and wasn't even close to the spot where I found it.  During the last flight of the day the Soloshot tracker fell off my plane, I guess I should have used new masking tape each time.  I didn't have a clue where it was so I walked a line that the camera was aimed on.  No luck, so I decided to move the Soloshot out into the field and see if it would point towards the tracker.  After several tries it calibrated it's self, turned around and pointed behind where I was standing.  I turned around and there was the tracker about 30 feet away.  Today was my lucky day.
Today was the first time I have seen a coyote at the field.
