The 4th!

James had a game today at 1 PM, it was already getting pretty warm by the time it started.  This game didn't go quite as well as yesterday's and they lost.  They could have played one more game, but decided not to as it was well into the 90s by then.  One of his teammates family invited James and a couple of other players down to their house at the beach to shoot off fireworks.
Vera and I fired up the barbecue this evening and had a steak dinner out on the back deck.  It was really pleasant sitting out there listening to fireworks, which were not as numerous as other years.  After it got dark, we went for a ride and stopped down at Lions Pride Park where there were lots of people shooting fireworks over the water.  After a little while, we drove around Castle Rock, there were plenty being shot right in the streets which did not seem very safe considering how dry it was.
