Boy did the wind blow yesterday plus we had rain, thunder and hail. Lots of branches got blown down, about half of this load is what came down yesterday and last night. The rest is blow down from last winter's snow and there is still more of that to pick up. Looking at this picture reminds me I need to wash the tractor one of these days!
UPS brought our new hose reel yesterday and we got it mounted on the West side of the house. I did a little work on the P-40 but it was too nice to stay inside after UPS brought the new ladder for the motor home. I tested it out and then rearranged some things so it would fit into the rear storage compartment. I also checked the water level in the batteries and ran the generator so I can take them off my list for a couple of months.
When I took the load of limbs to the compost pile I noticed this small fir had blown down also.
After dinner I went out to get it down since it was hanging right over one of the trails. It sure didn't have much of a root ball. It turned into a problem when it caught in another maple on the way down. Now I have both of them down and have some work to do cleaning up the trail again.
