One Flight

There were light sprinkles this morning so we made a shopping run to Quartzsite.  Vera encouraged me to go flying so we came back to the motor home and I loaded up the smallest airplane I had with me into the Smart Car and went to the field.  There was a half dozen guys flying that I visited with, I got in one flight and had to quit because the transmitter battery was low.  We filled up with gas on the way home and Vera made a great soup for lunch.  I started charging batteries and added a plug to the house battery solar system.
Vera took some picture of the plants next to where we were parked.  You wouldn't want to walk around them bare footed as some are really sharp.  After the others came back from their trip to the RV Show and Flea Market we all sat around in the sunshine and talked.  When it cooled off everyone moved over to Barry and Mona's fire pit and talked some more.  It was really interesting hearing Grant's experiences in England, Russia and Africa.  Vera fixed a nice salad and fish fillets for dinner.  Then I went back out to visit some more by the fire.  It was another relaxing day.

Some times the sunset is better behind you, this picture was taken just as the sun was going down and lighting the tops of the hills to the East.
