Jim's Hanger

The sunrise this morning was awesome, the sign it was going to be a great day.  We were up early and made a quick stop at the flying field before heading to Blyth CA to try shopping there.  It was 15 miles further West on I10.  We took the first of four exits to Blyth so we could drive through and see all of the town.  Boy the East end was run down with lots of closed businesses and deserted buildings.  The only thing we found that looked business like was Albertsons so we stopped there and got a few things, I don't think  that we will go back there again.  We went back to Quartzsite and gave Jim one of the modelers I had met a call and went by to see his hanger.  Boy does he have a lot of models, he buys estate sales and resells some of them.
Vera and Jim are talking at the entrance to his hanger this morning, I have found someone with more planes than I have.
He has lots of memorabilia on display in the front part of his shop.
Behind the double doors is another building area.
Jim took me up in the loft.
There were planes and supplies stacked everywhere in the loft.
He also had two trailers full of airplanes outside.
His wife quilts and took Vera into her very nice craft room.  One of the ladies there who was the wife of another modeler made quilted wall hangings that were beautiful.
She hides things in the quilt, I found a raccoon and a deer in this one.
The doe and fawn are easier to find in this one but it took me a while to find the eagle.  Jim also has another shop in Twin Falls Idaho that has a similar amount of planes in it.  I am going to have to stop by if we get over that way.  We went back to the motor home after that and Mona's boss Brent showed up in his RV not long afterwards.
Barry and Mona showed up after him, followed by Graham who is from England.
Barry set up his fire pit and we sat around talking until almost 7 when everyone headed in for the night.  It was a busy but fun day.
