Club Meeting

The Cowlitz Valley RC Flyers had a club meeting scheduled for today so we headed to the field early today.  It was a good thing we were early, the field had not been mowed, I unloaded a few things and got the mower out.  I mowed about a third of the runway, that is all I need to land on and all of the pit area.  Big surprise when I got done, Vera had unloaded most of the stuff I need to fly.  The wind was blowing pretty good to start, about 10 mph.  Not long after the noon meeting was over and most of the people had left it started calming down and we had a great afternoon of flying.  That is our friend Dave flying in the background of my Cub.  Dave and a new member Josiah stayed most of the day.  I ended up getting in 23 flights if I count the 5 flights when I gave Josiah instruction.  I felt much better today, the ice and heat pads last night really helped.
