Blazer

This morning after my first set of exercises I went down to get the garbage can and met Steve bringing it up.  As we were walking up with the cans Steve mentioned he was going to burn the brush pile.  I went out just as he was starting it and watched for a few minutes.  It wasn't long until it was going good and Vera wanted some pictures.  The pile was pretty dry so it was all burned up in a couple of hours.
After taking the fire pictures we wandered around taking pictures of our flowers and plants.  The rhododendrons by the house have really bloomed out the last couple of days.
They are doing great this year, we have had them for about 40 years and moved them three times.  One of the guys I worked with bought a place that was a nursery and didn't want the plants that were there.  He invited everyone he worked with to come get some.  We ended up with at least eight or nine.
Tadpoles are hard to get a good picture of, I finally caught this pair on a light colored rock where they showed up pretty good.
This patch of Iris is doing better than it ever has in the past, none of the leaves are eaten and there are way more blossoms than usual.
The white rhododendrons by my shop are just starting to open up, it has been a great spring for flowers.
Vera's Don Juan rose has a couple of buds opening up.  The frost or the really hot days got a couple of the newer shoots and it doesn't look like they are going to recover.  We made a mail and grocery run this afternoon, when I came out of the post office I thought I could see an oil spot under the Blazer.  When we got home I checked and the fourth and final crimped fitting on the oil filter was leaking.  After the Blazer cooled off I went out and replaced it with hose clamps.  I got the little quad out for a couple of flights this evening and had a great time trying some new routes around the yard.
