Tuesday, mopping day!
Well, it is not normally mopping day, but I managed to let the sink in the shop bathroom run over! I was filling it up and it seemed to be taking forever, I walked out into the shop for a minute and then next thing I knew I was balancing a propeller, then I heard this strange sound! Filling a sink must be kind of like watching a pot boil. I did some work on Mario, I forgot to mention in yesterday's blog that I tried flying Mario, it flew, but not well. I got down OK the first attempt, I made a couple of adjustments and tried again, I got higher, but hit harder and knocked one wheel out of alignment. Just minor repairs needed, plus replacing the axle which was soft wire, I will try again after making some more adjustments. This evening I settled in early and watched some off road racing, then I decided to watch the first Pink Panther movie, I really enjoyed it! Peter Sellers is so funny.

LCRC Meeting
We walked this morning, Vonda's dog Daisy had a new shirt on, I don't know if she liked the color, because instead of leading the walkers, today she was behind us the whole way. After we got home, I started loading the Blazer with Bill's stuff to take to the LCRC meeting tonight.
We left early so we could stop and visit Marie and drop off some pictures she wanted. I also swapped memory cards in her digital picture frame, I add the latest pictures to it every few months, she really seems to enjoy the pictures and asks questions about the new ones.
I counted about 18 people at the meeting, the elections were quick, as normal there was only one person for each position. We were really tickled, everything we brought was taken, so we just went home with empty tote bins! The plane raffle was won by Jeff, he is the second from the left, holding his jacket. When we got home, I watched Monday Night Football before hitting the hay.

Way to go Seahawks!
Another day of no picture taken, so I found this one from 12-9-2007. I worked in the shop most of the day until I came in to watch my recording of the Seahawks 58-0 win. I knew I would like the game, as Barry had called and mentioned that AZ was not doing well. When I finished that, I watched Sunday Night Football, sure nice zipping through all those commercials, I can watch a game in about 90 minutes.

It is Cold Out!
I worked in the shop most of the day, I did go out and put two flights on the little Sukhoi SU-26, that is when I decided it was cold out. I got a call from our friends Audrey and Leonard asking if we wanted to meet at Papa Pete's for lunch, of course I said "Yes". We had a nice visit with them over a Rocket and Rustler pizza, then they stopped by to pick up somethings I had set aside for them. This afternoon, I put up a wreath on the house, I finished up the Stinson, changing props, checking the current flow and installed a new heavier duty tail wheel assembly on the Super Cub. I also have Mario ready for a test flight, that is going to be interesting!
I need another project like I need a hole in the head, but last night I got this RV-9 out and started on it. I got it from Bill and it needs quite a bit of work, the wing is broken in half, the canopy is cracked, the fuselage is broken, and the cowl is busted up pretty good. I ordered a new cowl, canopy and some yellow covering, as that is where the majority of the damage is. No dinner tonight, I was still full from the pizza, I settled into my recliner later and watched some Top Gear while looking for a magazine article, which I found right away.

The Bonanza is finally finished.
Vera stuck her hand out the door this morning and reported that it was raining, so we did not walk. After breakfast and checking some of my emails (they are coming in faster with Christmas ads than I can delete them.), I made a trip over to Dianne's to see what the twins were up to this morning. They were on the computer when I got there, playing songs. It was funny to watch Harper checking her emails with the calculator, she also used it as a phone to talk to the cops! Ava and I played with the flash lite, making shadows of our hands on the walls and ceiling. When I left there, I went back to fitting the pilot and seats into the Bonanza and did the last step this afternoon. Now I am looking forward to flying it again!
I also finished up the Pawnee this afternoon and it is now ready to be the door prize at the club meeting Monday. I puttered around with a couple of other planes while I was waiting for glue to set.

Christmas Shopping
We walked this morning, no rain, but boy was the wind cold. The first thing I did when we got home, was go over to see what was going on at the Robinson's.
The girls were in the bath when I got there, as soon as they were dressed, Ava wanted me to come in and see their Christmas tree. They showed me the ornaments they had made, a red tree down low and the green tree right behind the snowman.
Dianne had made cookies so the twins were right over there to frost them, that it fun to watch, plus I got a couple of cookies out of the deal. Right before I left, they put on a dancing show for us that is always fun to watch. When I got home and got finished with yesterday's blog, Vera and I got the Christmas lists out and did all our shopping at Amazon. Now all we have to do is wait for the brown truck to show up. I made a trip over to Jerry's this afternoon to pick up the club secretary files and see his planes. I had a great time, I think Jerry is the only person I know with more projects than me! I stopped by Mik, Michelle and James' on the way home to drop off a check and had a nice visit. When I left there and was coming down Nevada Drive, I suddenly realized I was really hungry. I almost turned toward Kelso, but decided it would not take much longer to get to the Castle Rock Burger King. Boy, that milk shake tasted good, I had it half done before they brought the burger and fries. When I got home, I had missed a call from Bob, so when I finished eating, I called him and found out his new plane is ready to test fly on the next nice day. I hope that is not next May or something like that!

Six!
Vera was off to bible study this morning, I had been working on planes and came in for my mid-morning snack when I heard a knock on the door! It was UPS and there were six boxes piled on the deck. I knew a couple were coming, but this was a big surprise, it turned out three were mower parts I had ordered and three were airplanes stuff. It was like an early Christmas, I headed to the shop and opened them all up. I got the new canopy for the Bonanza out and started on it right away. It is going to look good with seats and a pilot.
This afternoon, I found the chain that I was planning on hanging these stained glass ornaments with and put them up. Vera had bought them at the same garage sale she got the music box at a couple of years ago. I worked on the pilot and canopy for a couple more hours after dinner and then we watched some recorded Off Road Racing and Tractor Pulling.
