Weekend

We had a good weekend. James spent Friday night with us, so I got in more practice on the Xbox. Sometimes, I think I am getting it figured out. Jack and Marsha brought over a Christmas gift with popcorn in it that Vera and James made in the old fashion way, in a pan on the stove. It got exciting when we poured it into the bowl as a few more kernels popped and popcorn was flying everywhere. James played his favorite song on the piano several times for us while he was here. I will put a link to it on YouTube.
Sunday we went to James' basketball games and then headed home for a little R&R (watching football), icing the knee and heat on the shoulder.
Today is our Christmas present wrapping day, which went very well and we are all done.

Black Friday and Saturday

I spent most of Black Friday in front of the computer shopping the ads. Nice and relaxed compared to what I saw when I picked up James. I ended up getting 3/4 of our Christmas shopping done.

James all set to do a little Xboxing. He spent Friday night with us. I played some Xbox with him, hard work I was all tensed up after playing for a while.

Saturday James had a game at Kelso. He had just made a foul shot in the picture above.

James 24 making a basket during their first game Saturday. He had lots of support, Emmy, Steve and Dianne, Mik and Michelle and Vera and I were there watching him. After the game we went over to Mik, Michelle and James for a turkey dinner which was great.

Fridays are Great!

My Friday started a little later than normal. Looking up some information on the computer and then watching the finish of a soccer game resulted in us not going to bed until 2 AM Thursday night. Needless to say, I slept in this morning. By the time I ate, checked emails and read the news online, it was time to head out to pick up James. I did a little shopping and then went up to Cascade and read a magazine until James got out. After a stop at his house to pick up the Xbox, a run through the Drive up at Burger King we settled in for an evening of Xbox and Wwe. I am all thumbs with that Xbox controller, good thing I don't use it to fly airplanes. It is a good thing Parker came over for a while so he had some one who could play with him.

Better late than Never

I never seemed to have time to do this over the Labor Day Weekend.
Plenty of rain made for an indoor weekend. I did get two bench's cleaned to where I can see most of the top.

James spent Sunday night and we got the Xbox hooked up online for him. He spent several hours playing online with his friend Joey.

Of course they destroyed millions of dollars worth of equipment during their campaigns.
We did make a trip to the creek right during a rain shower, our timing is great! We all had to change into dry things after that.
All in all the weekend flew by and we had a good time.

Agates

It was a nice day today. James had a great time with the new XBOX. I made them take a break from it and play outside. The kids asked if we could make a trip to the creek, so I put a pad in the trailer and off we went on the Quad pulling the trailer with James and Parker in it. Auna is turning into a pretty good Quad driver and drove us all the way down. The kids always have fun at the creek looking for Agates. Today they did not find any, but other trips they have found some really nice ones. Most of the ones James finds have ended up in our pond which gives it special meaning and some fun memories. This evening we went to a get acquainted dinner for our new pastor. We had a nice time and she seems like a real easy to be around person.

Hope you had a chance to enjoy the Sunshine like I did.

Abernathy, Focaccia and Flying
