New Phone

Big day today! It started out with trip to the Verizon Store to look at upgrade phones. Michelle keeps showing off her new iPhone and maybe I was a little jealous. I ended up with a Droid which I used to take the picture of the Blazer with. After we got the phones taken care of, adding another line so Vera now has my old phone which she likes, we headed to Costco. We filled a cart fairly fast in there, picked up a couple of Polish Sausage Hot Dogs and got ready to head home. Just after we got loaded the new phone started ringing, (it took a few seconds to figure out how to answer the darn thing) and it was Marie's Pastor with word that they wanted to have a meeting today at 3:00. That gave us two hours to get home, unload, fill up with gas and get to Centralia. We made it almost exactly at 3:00. After the meeting we ate at Skippers and headed home the slow way on Jackson Hwy. That did not work, the road is closed so we had to cut across Rush Road and come home I5. We had a nice evening playing with the phones, Debbie found out Vera could text and they went at it until the battery ran down.

Trip to Olympia

The last time I was up to Barry's in June, they were installing kitchen cabinets. I had a great time watching, no help, just watching!

They were over run with boxes.

Today, things looked much different! I noticed the wheelchair Barry has right away, seems like a long time since I last saw it.

The Kitchen is looking really nice, hope my effort turns out half as good.

After looking at the progress, we went to Dirty Dave's for pizza and had a nice visit. After lunch Barry showed me pictures from their trip to AZ this year. They have some great ones, amazing how colorful rock can be.
I hit the hobby shop and Costco on the way home. If you have not been to the Costco in Lacey, they have the widest isles I have seen yet. Big surprise for me, my knee did not hurt after walking around the hobby shop and Costco. That made for a good finish to a nice relaxing day.

Costco

Vera's bible study today was canceled so we decided to make a Costco run. We took Hwy 30 to Cornellis Pass and went over to the Beaverton Costco. Just so happens there are two hobby shops within 2 miles. Funny how that works. We had a nice trip down, traffic was light and the fog had lifted. Important things first, so we went to RC Modeler NW. Then lunch at Izzies, then another hobby shop and finally Costco. Nice going during the week, not many people, when we checked out there was only one person in front of us. After sampling some soup and crackers we got for dinner, it was time to kick back and watch Mythbusters. Love that show!

Abernathy, Focaccia and Flying
