Barry and Mona stopped by on the way to Olympia for a short visit. We went to Papa Pete's for dinner. I had an early doctor's appointment the next morning so we just had time to say goodbye and they were gone when we got home.

Jordon's Birthday! Jordon did a great job opening cards and presents today at his second birthday party.
He is big into monster trucks, he likes watching them with his grandma, Josh's mom.
Jordon with his third cupcake, his mom cut him off after this one.
Jacob is getting to be a big boy as Michelle found out after a few minutes of holding him.
Michelle is showing Jordon a picture of him.

We opened up the storage container and loaded the trailer with the last of Marie's things. This is just part of the load, the Lifetime folding table is loaded also.
There was a table and four chairs that no one in the family wanted under the tarp. I have taken one of my planes down for the last couple of years and they have sold every time. I was going to give this one away at the flying field but I stuck a price tag on it and it was gone fairly early on Saturday.
8-17-2019 Family Garage Sale
This is Saturday morning just before the garage sale opened. I wonder where the family comes up with all this stuff, there seems to be more every year.
Tor put on performances all day and I understand he got quite a few donations.
Bridget was selling cookies, the snickerdoodles were really good, Mik bought all she had left.
Josh and the kids stopped by to borrow an electrical outlet tester I have. We had a nice visit, Vera and I both got some time holding Jacob.
Jordon kept pretty busy playing with the trucks and riding on the airplane.
8-19-2019 Vera's dental appointment
Vera had a dental appointment today. I brought a magazine and decided to wait in the car because the seats are way more comfortable than the waiting room in Kaiser. Apparently the dentist was behind because it was a long time before Vera saw him. I got my magazine all read and took a nap before she came out.
8-20-2019 Brady
We went to Brady today, the Toledo field is closed because of the threshing bee this weekend.
It was a little foggy when we got there but then turned into a nice day with sixteen flyers showing up.
Audrey and Leonard provided lunch and others brought side dishes.
The tall corn at the East end of the runway got a couple of planes.
On my last flight of the day, I got a little low on final and ended up in the corn field.Vera got a good picture of me retrieving the MXS from the corn. There was no damage except for one small chip in the cowl. It was a great day of flying.

We have been looking for a Smart Car to tow behind the Intruder. The first one we found had everything for towing with it but was sold the weekend before we were going to look at it. We located one in Tukwila to look at next Monday. I located a tow bar and Brake Buddy in Roseburg Oregon that was still available so we ran down there today and bought it. After a stop at Dairy Queen for lunch and Blizzards we headed home, this picture was taken a little North of Roseburg as I was driving on I5.
The scenery in Southern Oregon is a little different than Washington but there is still enough green that we like it.
We stopped at Costco in Vancouver and then stopped in Woodland at Rosie's for dinner.
We could tell it was a popular place with the locals when we heard the waitress calling most of the people who came in the door by their first name. The food was great, I found apple crisp pie on the menu and had it with ice cream for my dinner. They had this picture of the old Rosie's up behind the cash register.
After we got home I put the tow bar and Brake Buddy in the storage container until we get the car.
