FLYING!

We did not do much this weekend, after mowing and flying Friday, I slept in until 9:30 Saturday.  The rest of the day was spent on the computer getting some more DVD's and CD's of Vera's reunion ready to mail Monday, some puttering in the shop and watching TV.  Sunday, Vera went to church, I worked on the Mustang some more, then in the afternoon I got the hedge clippers out and worked in the yard.  I generated two trailer loads of brush to haul to the compost pile.  Then it was more computer, Mustang and TV.  Today, we got to the Toledo flying field about 10 AM, Dick was there with his new plane, the one we set up in the shop the other day.   I took it up for it's first flight and all it needed was a couple of clicks of right aileron.  Dick flew it most of the flight, then I made a few photo passes with it before landing it.  There were eight flyers out today and we had a great time!
There is lots of snow in the hills, but it warmed up enough that jackets and coats came off or were unzipped for a while this afternoon.  I had a call from Jackie, she said JP was rolling around all over the place now and he is wearing 9 month clothes, he is growing fast!  JP, John and Jackie are all doing fine.
After flying, we stopped at the South Lewis County Park by Toledo to have dinner.  There were lots of ducks and geese swimming around, I am not sure what they were getting when their heads were underwater, but it sure looked funny.
We were treated to a nice sunset as we arrived home!  I unloaded and put the motor home away, just as I finished up, Barry called, I got to hear about his NASCAR experience, and got caught up with what he has been doing.  His neighbor's strawberry cake sounds really good.  Then I came in here to see how my pictures turned out.  I had a  call from our friend Horty and we had a nice visit on the phone.  I got my pictures edited, posted some on the club website, and put some here.  Now it is time to settle into my chair for a few minutes.  Hope you got a chance to enjoy the sunshine today!
