As I was coming in from locking up last night, I noticed the Moon, so I went in to get the camera.
Vera came out with me and pointed out an opening in the trees where the moon showed and I got this picture.
I got up this morning and was at the flying field at 8:45. I was all set up and got in two flights before anyone else showed up. I loaded in a few planes that I had not flown for a while this morning and had a good time with them.
About 10:00 other fliers started showing up and there ended up being 9 of us there. I wore my "The Ground is closer that it appears" shirt and didn't crash. The last time I wore it, I had a bearing go bad in my helicopter and crashed it. About 3:00 it started looking like rain so I packed up. I was going to put in one more flight on the little Champion, but as I stepped out of the motor home with it's battery it started sprinkling. I checked the mileage today; if I go the freeway, it is 16 miles to the field and if I go Jackson Hwy. it is 18 miles. The Jackson Hwy. route is much more relaxing, so it is the one we normally take.
