Early this morning I heard a big truck coming up the driveway and it was the cement truck to do Parker's floor. A little later a second one came and parked in our driveway while the first one was finishing unloading. It was time for Vera to head for bible study so I asked the driver to pull ahead about five feet so she could get out and then I took this picture.
After the second driver had backed down I walked over and took this picture. I think it took four truck loads to do the shop and sidewalk.
I had a text from Theresa wanting to know if I was flying today, I said no, Vera was at bible study and I was working on the Vortex in front of the pellet stove. She sent me this picture of the group that was there and gave me a bad time about bragging.
So I sent her a picture of the plans with the stove in the background.
The Vortex is so big none of my building boards would work but on Monday I found this four by four piece of three quarter inch plywood in the front room of the shop . I got one rudder built Monday evening. Today I laid out the plans and started planning the retract installation. I came up with three different ways to do it and ended up choosing plane "B". The plans will never look the same again with all the red and blue lines I drew. I got the mounting plates for the main gear done tonight along with one reinforcement for the rib it mounts to. Now that I have a plan I think the build will go fairly fast.
