Seeing Lots of Family

After church today we headed up to Chehalis and picked up Marie so we could take her with us to Vera's niece Veda's surprise sixtieth party.  The party was held at Vera's nephew Gus's house, the picture is Gus visiting with Marie.
We were all in the garage when Veda arrived with her brother Dean supposedly going out to dinner.  Just as they pulled up Gus opened the garage door with everyone lined up behind it.  Veda was really surprised, in fact she was speechless.  It was funny to watch, she would open her mouth and nothing would come out.
They had a table set up in the garage and lots of good food.  Of course there was lots of black and sixty signs and stickers.
This is Veda with her brothers and sister.  From the left, Gus, Tami, Dean and Veda.
Veda got some nice flowers and cards, of course a lot of them were humorous.  We arranged for Tami to take Marie back home and we headed out for our family get together at home.  I had arranged for Pizza to be ready at 3:45 and we got there right on time.  I had to wait a couple of minutes while the last one cooked but we made it home before the 4:00 planned starting time.
This is just after we got home, quite a few people were already there, luckily I had given Barry a key in case we didn't get home in time.
We had a great time hearing about Bob and Cathy's vacation to Europe with Brock and Ty.
Lots of visiting and catching up went on.
I think everyone there held or fed Cora at one time or another.
Cora was a little tuckered from it and took several naps.
Chris and Jackie opening the gifts for Cora.
It was great getting to see my sisters and brother.  Pam is missing, but I got to see her when we were in Lynnwood so all is good in my world.
We added Rielee to our family picture.
The day was complete when the last of the grandchildren showed up.  Debbie had to work today so she was a little late getting there.
James and I had on our matching shirts.  It seems like he is growing because we were almost eye to eye when I was talking to him.
After everyone had left we took Cora outside for a photo session.  She is really strong, already lifting herself up and looking around.  She is close to rolling over also.  It was a long but great day, there is nothing better than getting to see family.
