Thursday
I decided Thursday to finish a plane that has sat around the shop for years half done. My first problem was, the glue I was using did not stick to the material very well, the second problem was I don't like the way the edges of the material look. I have tried several ways to fix it and none of them look that great. I decided to finish it, test fly it and then give it away, that would get it out of my way. I puttered away most of the day on it before coming in to watch some TV.
Friday
I did some more work on the plane today, getting the rudder, ailerons and elevator hinged. We made a couple of runs to town, one to do the recycling and pick up the mail. Later, we made a quick run down to BK for dinner. I went back out to work on the plane some more and discovered the glue was attacking the foam, so I quit for the night.
Vera had made Cocoa Mounds, so I had a few of them and settled in for the evening.
