Magnet Fun!

OK, here I am doing 3 days again, I hope this doesn't get to be a habit.

Friday the 25th.
I was really sore from yesterday's walk and I think that my right knee must have gotten strained a little climbing under the benches doing the drawers, so I begged off walking.  When I went out to the shop, I got all the planes on the to sell list down, dusted them and stacked them neatly in the front half of the shop.  I did some work on the Viking and got the fuselage fiberglassed.

Saturday the 26th.
Right after breakfast and emails, we headed to Home Depot for the refund on the Formica.  Then it was off to Hallmark for a card we needed, since it was close by, we had an Arby's Market Fresh Roast Beef sandwich for lunch, we love those!  On the way home, we stopped at Safeway and stocked up on pop and veggies.  I did some more work on the Viking and got everything except the top of the wing covered with fiberglass, before calling it a night.

Sunday the 27th.
I worked on the Viking this morning, getting the top of the wings covered and the first coat of paint on the fuselage.  I had to wipe it right off because I sprayed some big runs into it.  Vera came home about then, so I took a break for lunch.  Later, I sanded it out and put another coat on it, being really careful not to get too close this time.  I was working on the RV-9 wing, when I heard the door and thought Vera had come out, around the corner flew Ava and Harper, that was sure a surprise!  They are spending the night with Grandma Dianne and were bringing me some brownies they had made.  Rielee was packing them, so they did not get airmailed.  The girls started playing with the lights and magnets stuck to the file cabinet when they discovered the magnetic parts dishes.  They were moving screws and nuts from one to another and dropped a few, so I got the magnet on a stick down and Rielee had a great time with it picking them up.  I sure enjoyed their visit, then it was back to work on the RV-9 wing, I decided to replace all the hinges on the ailerons and flaps because they were really stiff and would put a big load on the servos.  I use pinned hinges all the time as they are much freer that the mylar type.  Having the control surfaces off will make it much easier to recover the wing.  I am in for a dinner break, when this blog is done, I am going to go plan a small paint booth for the shop, I remembered I have some clear sheets of plastic that will work great!  Vera made some great oatmeal and raisin cookies yesterday, I think it is time for one.
