We were up early and headed to Kaiser for Vera's doctor appointment, nothing wrong, just her annual check up, which went great! They called her in early and the doctor said she is doing fine. From there, we went to Fred Meyer for a few groceries and gas. Our favorite route home was blocked by a train, so we went home through Kelso. No exciting mail today, so we came home and had pizza for lunch. I went out to the shop and got a call from a modeler who was having trouble programming a speed control, he wanted to come up and see if I could show him how. It turned out the speed control did not have a BEC in it, so we needed to power it with a battery. Once we had it working, I did the programming, the programming is done with the transmitter throttle stick while listening to tones that sound like Morse code. My ham radio training came in handy there. After we got it done, I had a nice visit with Steve while showing him my shop. Later, I decided to clean off the North bench and get ready to put Formica down tomorrow. I did not realize there was so much stuff on that bench, it is stacked everywhere in the shop.
Here is a before shot, it was a little cleaner than this, but not much, hopefully I will have an after picture for tomorrow. I was adding some extra screws to the top and counter sinking the nails when Vera talked me into quitting for the night. That was probably a good thing, because my back was getting kind of sore.
