Up on the roof again

We took off right after breakfast this morning to go see Vera's sister and take her some valentine treats. We had a nice visit with Marie until it was time for her lunch. We took her down to the dining room and then went over to Skippers for our lunch.

Everything is leaking this winter. I discovered a leak in the motor home around the rear vent a while back. Since it is under cover all the time it was not a big issue. I finally got around to fixing it today.

I replaced the caulking under the vent flange and sealed a couple of holes from the previous vent. I gave my knee a good test when I took this picture. I forgot to take one while I was on the ladder working. After I finished and wanted the picture I hopped up onto the shop porch railing and promptly fell off. It is 4 or 5 feet to the ground so I was thinking keep the knees bent and absorb the shock. It worked, no pain anywhere when I landed. I got back up and was a little carefuller where I stepped and took the picture.

I was cleaning out the file cabinet in the shop and ran across this. I did not realize it was so long ago. I can still remember it very well. I didn't have a clue what was going to happen when he asked me "Are you scared of anything when you are flying" I answered "No" and he opened the door and got out and told me to keep shooting touch and goes until my hour was up. Then I was Nervous! Vera, Bev and Michelle were all there watching that day.
