This is going to be a long post as I try to get caught up.
March 1st: I used this Thank You for being in the talent show at the Vault today when I went to Coffee with the Pastor.
I flew the HP600 hexacopter when I got home since it was one of those rare times when it was not raining. I have been wanting to fly it as I made some changes to the programming. I still have a problem as it would not hold it's altitude automatically.I have added carbon fiber to the vertical fin of the P-39 like I did for the stabilizer.
March 3rd: I started the fuselage today and this is how much I got done.
3-4 I worked on the P-39 all day. This evening Josh stopped by and dropped off my birthday present. Two of my favorites, I hadn't had any black jelly beans in ages. We had a really nice visit out in the shop before he had to head home.
I built the hatch today, I made up two new formers for the ends and cut off the ones between them. Then I put down 1/8 X 1/2 spruce strips for the hatch to rest on. I put down another set of strips and built the hatch on top of them.
March 6th: it was snowing hard this morning when I looked out. Not long after the picture was taken it quit.
It was really coming down when I came in for lunch. Vera was taking pictures and got this one. It was a crazy day weather wise, you never knew if it would be sunny or snowing when you looked out the window.
I got some of the fuselage and the battery hatch sheeting put on before calling it a day.
March 7th: I turned the fuselage over and started putting the bottom half of the formers on. Later I discovered that I had glued the wrong one in at the back.
March 8th: I used debonder to remove the former that was wrong and installed this pair that were supposed to go there.
March 9th: I got the rails for mounting the nose gear installed.
