This is what it was like December 1st 2005!
The weather forecast showed some freezing temperatures and possibly snow for Monday so I decided to winterize the outdoor faucets and hoses on Thursday. I got two done and then went to do the one by the pond. I decided the pond needed cleaning before I put the hose away, I got the pond vacuum out and started in. Before long I had my rubber boots on and was in the pond moving rocks so I could get the roots out from under them. It turned into a big job and I finally finished up just as it was getting dark. Vera took the picture on Friday and it sure looks nice being able to see the rocks instead of the leaves that were on the bottom. I also uncovered all the petrified wood we had in there that had gotten covered up by the vegetation that had grown in from the edges. I was a little sore, well maybe really sore and took it pretty easy all day Friday. James came up Friday afternoon, we visited for a while, checked his oil, then he packed in a couple of bags of pellets and filled the stove for me. Barry came by in the evening and we had a nice visit.
