Roll Top
I had plans to start covering the delta today but that never happened. First I mowed, then we made a run to town for the mail and I got a couple of things I have been waiting for, one is a bigger air tank for the P-39 so I can shoot some touch and goes without worrying about the gear not retracting. I did some work on it and had a couple of hours free while the glue dried. So we made another trip to the Post Office to mail back a servo that did not work. On the way home we stopped at a couple of garage sales. At one sale they were selling some of Gwen Boss's things and I was attracted to this roll top desk. Now I am in the middle of a major rearrangement of the shop which is good because we threw away some stuff that hasn't been used in about twenty years.
Jordon
This morning we made a quick run to Longview for a follow up blood test. Some of the medicines I took for my nose could effect my INR so they have done several checks since the surgery. We watched Jordon for a couple of hours today while Josh showed a couple of places. We had a great time and one of his favorite toys today was the dominoes. This evening I got the landing gear installed and the servos picked out for the delta. I also checked online and my INR was right where it should be.

Delta Dart
Vera had bible study so I ran down and picked up some MEK to clean the old covering residue off the delta with. I worked on the porch with rubber gloves because the fumes are pretty bad from MEK.

Visitors
What is it? I will let you know towards the end of this post. Barry stopped by today, he had been to Portland and dropped Mona off at the airport. Mona was going down to San Francisco to visit her sister for a week.
Yesterday Cathy and Bob brought up the pictures from our class reunion so we got to show them to Barry and James when he came by later. James brought up my Fathers Day present from their family. It was a folding work light and boy is it bright! It took me a while, but I finally found the outlets and USB charging ports in the base. I worked on the delta today, it is fun figuring out some of the things I want to change.

Canopy
The canopy for the delta showed up today and I got it's installation all planned out. We are making it kind of look like a F-102 Delta Dagger, F-106 Delta Dart or maybe a French Mirage.

Flying and Club Meeting
I hadn't flown the AT-6 for a long time so I got it out, cleaned it off and loaded it up for today's flying. I also put a TV transmitter on the Vhawk VTOL and some of the members watched it under one of the sun shades.
It was a warm day and there were five sun shades set up. We put three of them side by side and held the club meeting under there. Not everyone flew but we had twenty two members at the meeting.
This picture is Jim giving a flying lesson to his wife Teresa and Ken in the background flying.
Steve and Doug asked for a picture with their matching gliders. You would never guess they were twins! We packed up a little earlier than normal to try and beat the worst of the heat.
PS: I was just kidding, they are not twins!

Deer and the bunny
We watched and took pictures of the deer eating strawberry leaves this morning from our bedroom window. It wasn't until I downloaded them that I saw the standoff between the bunny and the deer.
The deer really enjoyed them and stood right in front of the window chewing.
