I was really excited to see if the planes showed up any better after the cataract surgery. I got the Pitts out right away and put in a flight. I was really happy with the results, no more double vision and the plane's image was really sharp even when I flew way out.
This is Theresa with the T-28 she bought today from one of the guys. I gave her one of my gliders today and she did great with it and the T-28. I was surprised when I counted nine flyers out, because it didn't seem like that many people while we were flying.
Everyone enjoys the visiting when we are there, it is almost more of a social gathering than just flying.
There was lots of skydiving activity today, one of them came over on this home made motorized bicycle, I have never seen one quite like it before. I was sure surprised to learn Ken (the guy leaning down) had built one and sold it. He also has a new motor at home and is thinking of building another one. Ken said it is kind of scary to ride because all it has is the Bendix brake on the rear wheel. There is an after market front brake available. I missed my afternoon eye drops, I thought we would be home by 3:00, but that didn't happen, we were the last ones to leave again. Probably because I was having so much fun flying now that I can see the planes clearly again.
