We were up a six this morning to go flying and beat the heat. Our plan was to be there at seven and leave by eleven. The first thing Vera noticed was the sunrise out the front door. It kept getting better and I took this just before we left for the field.
The first thing I did was set up the Soloshot so I could take videos of the P-39's first flight. It flies great and lands surprisingly good. Most of my warbird models are a little touchy when landing but not this one. I will put a link to the video at the end of the post.To relax after the maiden flight of the P-39 I got the Super Cub out with the GoPro camera in it and took pictures around the field. There is not much set up yet, just the row of tables.
The threshing machine is still outside after the Threshing Bee. I was so excited about flying the P-39 I didn't even notice it until I saw it on the camera when Vera was showing me the pictures she took.
This is the Soloshot II mounted on the tripod, it uses GPS to keep the camera aimed at the plane
This is my last flight of the day, I wouldn't normally fly this close to the tables, but we were the only ones there. As we planned, we were loaded and ready to head home about eleven as it was getting really warm.
