4th of July Flying

We got to the flying field at 8:30 this morning and I started setting up.  I had added a strobe light to the Lancair so I flew it right away to see how it looked.  I was happy that it showed up on a sunny day.  I have other LED's that you can not see on a bright day.  I had a good day and flew everything in the picture except the J-3 Cub.  There was a wind all day which kept it pretty comfortable.  I had picked up a pizza and we nibbled on it all day.  Vera also made a batch of cocoa mounds last night and she passed them out to everyone there.

There ended up being seven flyers today, Vera rounded everyone up for a picture of the Liars club as we have started calling ourselves.  It was a great way to spend the 4th.  We headed home about 7:00 and settled in for the night.  We went out on the deck and watched fireworks for a few minutes, there were lots going off but we could only see a few that were shot down on Old Hwy 99.
