Exploring

After picking up the mail we went for a ride out Ph 10 and then decided to explore Growlers Gulch Road.  In all the years I have lived here I had only been on it once to go to a garage sale at one of the first houses on the road.  It was a nice drive up past a tree farm and ended when we got near the power line.  Looking at the map tonight I realized we were almost to Melton Road which comes off of Delameter Road.

On the way back down I stopped to take a picture of the nice little valley at the bottom of the hill.

I stopped to take a picture of the sign before heading home with the packages that had come in the mail.  One was a helicopter tool I had forgotten was ordered.  The other package was some helicopter and plane batteries I ordered on a Black Friday Sale.

We went home from mailing our Christmas cards over Headquarters Road.  When we went by Davis Road we decided to do a little more exploring because we hadn't been on it since our ELT Team days.  It is a nice little drive but you want to slow way down for the cattle guards as they are pretty bumpy.

Davis Road loops around and comes out on Headquarters Road, it is just a couple of hundred feet to South Silver Lake Road and we took it to the Spirit Lake Highway.  There is one spot with a pretty good view of Silver Lake so we stopped and Vera took this picture.  It was quite a day weather wise with sunshine one minute and downpours the next.  Of course when I had to get out at the post office it was a downpour.
