Monday we spent most of the day in Centralia. We got Vera's power of attorney for Marie taken care of at the bank. Then we started looking into long term care for Marie.
Tuesday we got James to help us and started moving Marie out of the assisted living facility. It turned into a big job as she had accumulated a lot of stuff. The picture was just before James had to leave to coach at baseball practice. I am sure glad he was there to help with the heavy things. This is the trailer just before we did the last of the loading. We filled the twenty four foot trailer about half way up. The amazing things was that when we got home the plant on the dresser was still sitting there. I5 is pretty bumpy in some spots so I was really surprised.
It took us six hours, but we got it all done in one day. It was kind of sad to see it empty again after Marie spent eight years there.
Wednesday Vera had bible study, I did the recycling, picked up the mail and got a haircut, pretty exciting stuff. We got a call that one of Marie's bills needed to be paid that day. Just as we were getting ready to leave Vera's nephew Dean and his wife Jenny showed up. They had been down to visit Marie so we had a chance to compare notes. After they left we went down, paid the bill, stopped at Costco and then drove home through some really hard rain. I was sure glad to get home.
Today we decided to get a twenty foot shipping container to store Marie's stuff in. I started making calls and sending emails. DryBox called and had a very competitive price that included delivery so we drove up, picked one out and it will be delivered Tuesday. Then we checked with Sharon Care which everyone recommends but they do not have an opening yet so we are looking into some other options.
