Flying in the wind!

We went to Toledo flying today! Most of the day we had a pretty good wind down the runway. There was a good turnout of flyers, I counted 10. I spent some time helping get a new plane in the air. It is a Bonanza with retracts, flaps and lots of detail. The retracts gave us fits, a poor design. I think Danny is going to get different ones for next time. I finally got it in the air only to have one of the wheels fall off. It flew OK but needs a few changes to the controls. I tried to retract the landing gear which would have made the landing a lot easier, but it would not go up. The landing wasn't too bad, it slowed down good with the flaps down but still did some damage to the landing gear without the wheel and the nose gear.

Here you can see my planes, Bob's on the next bench and Audrey and Vera visiting.

Every day on the way home I see this scene and think I should take a picture. Well today, I pulled over to the side of the road and took a couple of pictures.
